South Africa Society of Artists

Robert spent the month of July 2006 working as the summer artist-in-residence at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. His residency included painting daily in the museum so visitors could watch and ask questions, giving lectures and leading discussions with both visitors and staff members, and conducting informal art instruction.

During March of 2008 and 2009, Robert taught plein air painting courses in Franschhoek, South Africa. These sell-out classes were hosted by Grande Provence Wine Estate on their beautiful grounds.

The South Africa Society of Artists in Cape Town invited Robert to be a guest lecturer at their meeting held at Newlands in March of 2008. He presented a demonstration and lecture about his limited palette technique and his outdoor painting methods. Over 100 interested members attended, asked many questions, and were motivated by this presentation.
